How to grill an Egg Burger
Make the hollandaise sauce. Add butter in a bowl and place in a microwave. Place a paper towel on top to prevent mess. Microwave for 10-15 seconds, until the butter is melted. Place the yolks in a food processor or blender. Add the melted butter into the blender, as well as the lemon juice and blend until smooth. Set aside. Combine the ground beef, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl and combine. Split the meat mixture in four equal parts. Form each portion into a patty.
Heat the grill to medium high heat. Add the patties on top of the grill grates. Grill the first side about 3 minutes or until charred. Flip the burger over and cook for an additional 6 minutes, or until your desired doneness. Add cheese for one minute on each patty until melted. Remove and let the patties rest. If you like your buns toasted, toast in the grill for 1-2 minutes on each side.
Make the fried egg. In a small frying pan, add the butter and wait for it to melt. Let the eggs cook undisturbed until the whites are almost completely set and opaque except for the ½-inch area around the yolks, about 2 minutes. For Sunnyside up, eat as is. For over easy, flip the egg and cook for 30 seconds more.
Assemble the burger. Place the patty on a bun and top with the fried egg. Add a tablespoon of hollandaise sauce and top with the bun.

Substitutions
- Ground turkey or chicken: You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option that is lower in fat and calories.
- Vegan egg substitute: If you're looking for a vegan option, you can use a vegan egg substitute, such as JUST Egg or Follow Your Heart VeganEgg, instead of real eggs. These products are made from plant-based ingredients and can be used in place of eggs in many recipes.
- Soy sauce: If you don't have Worcestershire sauce, you can use soy sauce instead. Soy sauce adds a salty and umami flavor to the meat.
- Whole wheat buns: For a healthier option, you can use whole wheat buns instead of regular hamburger buns. Whole wheat buns are higher in fiber and nutrients than white buns.
- Cheddar cheese slices: If you prefer a different type of cheese, you can use any cheese that melts well, such as Swiss, provolone, or pepper jack.
- Olive oil: If you don't have butter, you can use olive oil to toast the buns. Simply brush the buns with olive oil and toast them in a pan or on a grill.

Egg Burger Recipe Top tips
- Use high-quality ingredients: Use fresh ground beef, eggs, and buns for the best results. High-quality ingredients will help make your burger taste better and cook evenly.
- Season the beef: Season the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, or your favorite seasoning blend to add flavor to the burger patty.
