This Keto Beef Stroganoff Recipe is made with the most delicious creamy mushroom sauce ever and can be made in under 30 minutes.

You can use fillet steak but I opted using ground beef. You start by browning the ground beef in oil as well as the mushrooms and then simmering in a delicious creamy sauce made with cream cheese, heavy cream and sour cream.
This Ground beef Stroganoff is definite comfort food. I love serving this with my Cheesy Cauliflower Mash although you can enjoy it alone. This dish is a great Keto meal because it is low in carbohydrates and high in fat. What I love about the keto diet is that you don’t even really need to worry about the calorie intake, just the carbs. It isn’t one of those diets where you feel like you’re starving all the time.

Instructions
In a large deep saucepan over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion, garlic and mushrooms, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, until meat is brown and the mushroom and onion are soft, about 10-15 minutes. Drain the fat.
Stir in the cream cheese until melted, about 3 minutes. Pour in the broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce and combine. Simmer for another 6 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream. Serve on mashed cauliflower.
Substitutions
Mushrooms: I used button mushrooms for this, although any regular mushroom will work, as long as they are sliced.
Ground beef: I would use good quality beef for best flavor.
Worcestershire: The Worcestershire sauce add so much flavor to this dish. I love using it!
Variations
Cooking is a chance to be creative! Have fun with it and feel free to make your own variation.
- Spicy - add chili pepper flakes while cooking to imbue heat into the dish.
- Kid friendly - add crushed potato chips (ketchup chips!)

Equipment
Equipment can have a big impact on how a recipe turns out. Stone bakeware takes longer to heat up than metal pans, and also retain heat for longer, which could make the recipe more watery, or burnt on the outsides.

Storage
This will be good in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
These ingredients don't stand up well to freezing.
Top tip
Use a wooden spoon to break up the meat.
