This Air Fryer Corn Bread is made with flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder, whole milk, oil and eggs.
I am not a baker and this was the easiest corn bread recipe ever. This dish pairs very southern style foods like ribs, macaroni and cheese, and kale with hot cherry peppers. It is so good and easy, I promise you will love it!
Cornmeal is older than the US! Native Americans were using ground maize for years before European explorers invaded. Cornmeal gives food like polenta, especially desserts like this, a distinct flavor. As a Mexican woman, I have definitely loved to cook with anything corn related.
A mixer is not needed to make this. All you need is a wooden spoon and a large bowl, as well as a baking dish. It only takes 15 minutes to make this. This corn bread is easy to make, uses minimal ingredients, and no mixer is required. It is sweet and moist with crunchy crispy edges.
What you will need
Corn meal: This is essential when making corn bread. You can use regular or fine cornmeal.
Milk: I used regular whole milk although I have seen other recipes use buttermilk instead, which is delicious.
Eggs: For best quality results, I used cage-free, organic eggs for this recipe.
Oil: I used olive oil although vegetable oil might work better.
