This is a traditional guacamole made with avocado, lime, red onion, cilantro, serrano peppers, and salt.
Cumin has a super strong taste but it blends really well with the mashed avocados. You can modify each ingredient to your liking but this is usually how I make my guacamole. It is absolutely delicious.
This is a Traditional Guacamole and I would like to discourage people from using tomatoes in their guacamole. It is super important when you are at the grocery store to buy the ripest avocado (always found in the back for some reason) and to make your guacamole that day. The riper the avocado, the more delicious your guac will be – obviously!
Put the avocado in a fresh bowl. Add the lime juice and season with and salt. Mash with a fork until smooth and creamy. Stir in the red onion, serrano, cilantro. Taste and adjust as you wish.
