This Sunrise Gin and Juice is made with gin, orange juice, and grenadine syrup and is pour into a glass of ice and stirred into a beautiful cocktail.
This Sunrise Gin and Juice is absolutely delicious and blends perfectly well with everything. The strong gin, sweet grenadine and citric orange juice give this drink a perfect flavor. You can drink this for a nice brunch or evening cocktails. Gin is one of my favorite spirits and I usually don’t order an overly sweet cocktail as, let’s face it, causes my worst hangovers. This is only sweetened with one tablespoon of grenadine syrup and is mostly orange juice.
Gin is distilled with grapes and grains. Gin has a juniper, piney and herby flavor. A regular gin and tonic Is great, but this sunrise Gin and Juice will change the way you enjoy gin. Other gin drinks to enjoy include negronis if you like a bitter aperitif, a gin martini, and a gin gimlet. You can also enjoy gin straight on the rocks and drop a lime wedge. If you are drinking straight gin, it must be good quality gin.
What you will need
- 2 ounces gin (I used Empress 1908 Gin for the purple color)
- 6 ounces orange juice (you may froth if you want)
- 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup
How to make Sunrise Gin and Juice
Fill a cocktail glass with ice.
Pour the grenadine syrup in.
Top with the orange juice.
Stir with a mixing spoon.
The drink does not need to be stirred, it can be shaken too. Pour the gin and orange juice in a glass of ice and then pour the grenadine into it and watch the colorful red sink to the bottom of the glass. It is absolutely delicious!
