Description

This Buffalo Chicken Dip without Ranch (Keto) is so easy to make and only needs four ingredients: shredded chicken, cream cheese, hot sauce and butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked finely shredded chicken
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup franks hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan on medium heat, add the butter and wait for it to melt.
  2. Add the hot sauce and cream cheese and keep stirring, until the cream cheese melts, about 5-8 minutes.
  3. Toss in the shredded chicken and cook until thickened.

Notes

  • Use shredded chicken: Shredded chicken works best in this recipe, as it blends well with the other ingredients and makes for a creamy, smooth dip. You can use cooked and shredded chicken breasts, or use leftover rotisserie chicken.
  • Use hot sauce to taste: Depending on your personal preference, you can adjust the amount of hot sauce you use to make the dip as spicy or mild as you like.
  • Let the cream cheese soften: Softening the cream cheese at room temperature before mixing it with the other ingredients will make it easier to blend and ensure a smoother texture.
  • Use freshly grated cheese: Freshly grated cheese melts more easily and blends better with the other ingredients than pre-shredded cheese.
  • Double the recipe for a crowd: This recipe can easily be doubled to serve a larger crowd. Just make sure to use a larger baking dish or divide the dip between two smaller dishes.
  • Garnish with green onions: Garnishing the dip with chopped green onions adds a fresh and flavorful touch.
  • Serve with a variety of dippers: Buffalo Chicken Dip goes well with a variety of dippers, such as tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, and sliced baguette.
