Bacardi Mojitos

Bacardi Mojitos are a traditional Cuban drink which are made with white rum, club soda, sugar, limes, mint, and ice. 


  • Fresh mint leaves
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Club soda
  • Crushed ice


  1. Begin by taking a handful of fresh mint leaves and placing them in the bottom of a cocktail shaker or sturdy glass. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves, releasing their oils and aroma.
  2. Add the rum, lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker or glass, and fill it with crushed ice.
  3. Give everything a good shake or stir until the ingredients are well combined and the outside of the shaker or glass feels frosty.
  4. Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice. You can use a fine-mesh strainer if you don't want any mint leaves or ice bits in your drink.
  5. Top off the glass with club soda, and give the mojito a quick stir.
  6. Garnish the drink with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime, and serve immediately.


  • Only do one lime wedge with the mint leaves or else the mint leaves won't get properly muddled.
