Description

These Rice Krispie Chocolate Squares are made by melting butter and marshmallows and mixing in rice krispies and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 10 oz marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or your favorite chocolate, crumbled

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan on low heat, add the butter and wait for it to melt. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat and add the crispy rice cereal as well as the crumbled chocolate.
  2. Mix until well coated.
  3. Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease the pan. Add the mixture onto the pan and spread. Gently press down into the pan.
  4. Allow to set for 1 hour at room temperature.
  5. Cut into two inch squares and enjoy!

Notes

I love using salted butter, but you can use unsalted and add some flaky salt on top of them to enhance the flavors.
