Description

This Sausage and Peppers Recipe (Air Fryer and Oven) dish is made with sweet and spicy sausages, bell peppers, onions and air fried to crispy goodness.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • ½ yellow onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and sausage into the air fryer. Add olive oil and salt and toss to combine. Air fry for 25 minutes total, tossing once halfway.
  2. Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F. Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and sausage on a prepared baking sheet. Add olive oil and salt and toss to combine. Transfer the sheet pan to the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven, flip the sausages and toss the peppers and onion. Bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sausages reach internal temperature of 160°F and the peppers and onions are slightly charred on the edges.

  • Choose the right sausage: Use a good quality sausage, such as Italian sausage or chorizo, for the best flavor. You can use sweet or spicy sausage depending on your preference.
