This Easy Lasagna Recipe is made with lasagna, ricotta cheese, eggs, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan.

Lasagna always poses the same question: Should the noodles be cooked or not? Some recipes call for cooking them and others don’t. Cook the pasta “pre al dente.” The package instructions usually call for cooking for 8 minutes, but the trick is to cook them 4-5 minutes. This ensures that your lasagna noodles won’t be hard and/or won’t be mushy after baking.

What type of sauce is best for lasagna? This lasagna can be made we premade sauce from the store or with the Sausage and Meat Sauce. This sauce is VERY meaty, the way lasagna should be made. The ricotta mixture has 2 eggs and chopped parsley, and it is to die for. Not only is this dish kid friendly, but it feeds a family of six!

How to make this Easy Lasagna Recipe

Cook the pasta. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles in boiling water for 4-5 minutes. Remember that you will be cooking them again by baking them in a hot oven. Set them on a paper towel to dry.

In a bowl, add the ricotta cheese, eggs and parsley and stir well.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Assemble the lasagna. To assemble, spread about 1 cup of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Arrange the lasagna noodles to cover most of the top. Spread the ricotta cheese, about 2 cups, on top of the noodles. Sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan. Repeat the layers once again and make sure to leave enough cheese to top with Mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes. Make sure to cook for 15 minutes before serving, or else the lasagna will fall apart when you serve!

Description

This Easy Lasagna Recipe is made with lasagna, ricotta cheese, eggs, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lasagna
  • 48 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 (32 oz) jar of Marinara Sauce (Raos is the best) or Sausage Meat Sauce
  • 1 (12 oz) bag shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup grated parmesan

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles in boiling water for 4-5 minutes. Remember that you will be cooking them again by baking them in a hot oven. Set them on a paper towel to dry.
  2. In a bowl, add the ricotta cheese, eggs and parsley and stir well.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes. Make sure to cook for 15 minutes before serving, or else the lasagna will fall apart when you serve!

Notes
