I used to love going to Yankee stadium just to order a massive pretzel. There was something so nostalgic when I think about it. I could care less about the actual baseball and more about the atmosphere around me (I apologize if you are a Yankees fan). Obviously, buffalo chicken is one of my favorite creations ever, so why not combine the two most beautiful things in the world?

This Buffalo Chicken Pretzel Skillet is made by making the buffalo sauce from scratch, adding in the chicken into the sauce as well as the ranch, and pouring over some warm pretzels. I promise you won’t regret making this dish.

How to make Buffalo Chicken Pretzel Bites

Cook pretzels according to package instructions.

Meanwhile make the buffalo chicken. In a large saucepan on medium low heat, add the stick of butter and the hot sauce, for 10 minutes, and keep stirring until the butter slowly melts. If the butter has completely melted, keep stirring.

Add the chicken into the sauce as well as the ranch dressing. Turn the heat up to medium and stir until the ranch is fully blended in.

Add the baked pretzel onto a baking dish or skillet. Pour the buffalo chicken mixture onto the pretzels. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion.

Description

This Buffalo Chicken Pretzel Bites is made with chicken, ranch, parsley and homemade buffalo sauce. Did you know you can make buffalo sauce with a cup of hot sauce and a stick of butter? It is so easy and I promise you will love this.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (see notes)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup hot sauce (like Franks or a cayenne pepper sauce)
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup thick frozen soft pretzels
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley or green onion
  • Optional: Blue cheese (see notes)

Instructions

  1. Cook pretzels according to package instructions.
  2. Meanwhile make the buffalo chicken. In a large saucepan on medium low heat, add the stick of butter and the hot sauce, for 10 minutes, and keep stirring until the butter slowly melts. If the butter has completely melted, keep stirring.
  3. Add the chicken into the sauce as well as the ranch dressing. Turn the heat up to medium and stir until the ranch is fully blended in.
  4. Add the baked pretzel onto a baking dish or skillet. Pour the buffalo chicken mixture onto the pretzels. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion.

Notes

  • For the cooked chicken, if you buy a rotisserie chicken and take the meat off the bones, that will be about 2 cups shredded chicken.
  • You can eat as is or add crumbled blue cheese and bake for another 10 minutes at 350°F.
